Mountain Bikes, Good Campsites, and a Full Tank of Electrons

Last weekend, we went camping in the foothills west of Yosemite at Lake McClure. The adjacent Exchequer Mountain Bike Park hosts the NorCal League racing, and our team scored campsites for the weekend. The campground has a number of sites with 30-amp hookups, and with the right adapter, we were able to use our portable charger and had a full tank of electrons by the time we left on Sunday morning.

That meant we could make both of the 150-mile drives without stopping, and without glancing at a single gas station price sign. Even after cooking, running our plug-in cooler, and keeping the party lights going all weekend, we had plenty of range to get home.

Mountain bikes, good campsites, a full battery... oh, and San Francisco Composite on the team competition podium. Not a bad weekend.
